Mixing textures will be big this year for walls, furniture,
floors – you name it! If you think two
pieces don’t go together, think again. The more you mix, the more in-fashion
you’ll be!

As with the texture on texture trend, don’t be afraid to mix
floral on floral, geometric on geometric, or even floral on geometric!
Eclectic Colors
Pantone predicts the following colors to be big this year: Dazzling Blue, Placid Blue, Hemlock, Violit Tulip, Paloma, Radiant Orchid,
Cayenne, Celosia Orange, Freesia and Sand. These colors can be scattered
throughout the walls, floors, furniture and accessories. Here are a couple of
Pantone’s examples:

What you don’t see in the above images is combinations of
the colors, which will certainly be big this year. Be sure to check out this infographic to see all the other trends that will be popular in 2014, including minimalism,
raw metal, layered textiles and more.
Wishing you the happiest New Year! Cheers to 2014!!!
